Privacy Policy
Binfolio is made by Nuzaif Sayyed. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Binfolio on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
In short: we don't collect your data. Everything you add stays on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account, which we can't access. No tracking, no ads, no analytics.
We don't collect your data
Everything you put into Binfolio (containers, items, photos, notes, documents, people's names, loans and reminders) is stored on your devices. If you use iCloud, it's also stored in your own private iCloud account, which Apple runs and we can't access. We don't run any servers that receive your information.
Photos
Photos you take in Binfolio are stored only in Binfolio. They are not added to your photo library. Photos you choose from your library are copied into Binfolio.
Smart add and text recognition
Suggesting names and tags from a photo, and reading text in scanned documents, run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device technology. Your photos and documents are not sent anywhere.
Siri and Spotlight
If you use Siri or Spotlight with Binfolio, the item names involved are handled by Apple's systems under Apple's privacy policy. Items you mark as sensitive are hidden from Spotlight.
Sharing
If you share an inventory, the people you invite can see and (if you allow it) change that inventory. Sharing happens through Apple's iCloud. We don't see who you share with or what you share.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We receive no payment details and no personal information from your purchase.
No tracking, no ads, no analytics
Binfolio doesn't track you across apps or websites, shows no ads and contains no third-party analytics or advertising code.
Face ID
Face ID is handled by your device. Binfolio only learns whether unlocking succeeded.
Notifications
Reminders for loans and expiring documents are scheduled on your device. Nothing passes through our servers.
Children
Binfolio is not directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Delete items or inventories in the app, or delete the app. To remove data stored in iCloud, open Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage › Binfolio on iPhone or iPad (on Mac: System Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage) and delete it.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security, as described in GitHub's privacy statement.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
